Happy Birthday, Baby Red

I know I talk all the time about Milestone Portraits, but I am seriously SO fortunate to be able to watch my babies grow up and document these moments for my families.

This sweet is the third baby in her family (so am I!) and has this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G head full of bright red hair (um, me tooooo!). When they first showed up to the studio I think my jaw dropped. I'm a total sucker for a redhead and this girl did not disappoint.

I mean, c'mon. I can't even handle all of this.

Fast forward six months, my little unicorn baby brought her entire family back for a session and we got to document her 6M mark! I love how petite she still is here, but she was on the move!

When I got the message that her momma was ready to schedule her One Year session I about fell over. It is always so bittersweet doing these portraits. I LOVE seeing my babies every few months, and once they hit that 12M mark, I know that by the next time I see them they'll be HUGE!

Momma brought her back to the studio for this session and she was INCREDIBLE! It took a few minutes to warm up but then she turned into the sweet little clown I knew she could be and started showing off all of her personality!

If you have a problem with bribing your child with cheerios and suckers, you should probably let me know ahead of time!

This is a 2019 favorite!

Get ready...Here comes some crazy mad cuteness...

Oh, My Unicorn Baby. Wild and fierce. There will never be another like you and I am so happy I have gotten to document your First Year.

3's company

I've known their momma for YEARS and have loved watching her family grow. I did their second baby's portraits a couple of years ago, as well as a couple of family sessions. I was ecstatic when she emailed that she was needing me for their third!

To top it off, she has this history of having big babies which is totally my weakness :)

The outtakes from sibling shots are always *the* best!

Cheers!

Newborn Model Workshop

While I am totally in love with my career as a child, family, and wedding photographer, my heart belongs to my newborns. It is simply where I want to be at all times and, while I'm there, I can't imagine being anywhere else.

I travel to my babies houses so their families don't have to bother getting life together and coming out into the real world quite so soon. In going to client's homes, I drag a TON of stuff in, set a TON of stuff up, work with the baby by myself (I don't like to ask new mommas for help!), and then drag it all back out again. I was needing someone I would trust with my own kids to help me. Nothing made more sense than to ask my sister for help!

She agreed to let me teach her the ways of the newborn artistry, she agreed to be the best blanket holder ever, and she agreed to toss me poop rags as needed as long as she didn't have to clean it up. It seems like a WIN-WIN for everyone involved!

These shots are from our first Newborn Workshop together, where my new assistant did an amazing job. Thank you so much for joining my team, Rebecca! And thank you to these mommas who agreed to bring their babies to me for this one!
