I fell head over heals in love with this sweet guy. He slept fantastic for the first part of his session and then decided he was going to be awake and hang out with us! His eye contact was incredible for just being a couple of weeks old, and he genuinely looked like he was just going to get up and start a conversation!

Lots of parents ask ahead of time "what if my baby won't sleep"? Well, then the baby doesn't sleep!! We often forget that babies are actually humans too!! Sometimes they're ready to be awake! I guarantee we will get some sleepy shots of your newbie. That's just inevitable. However, when your baby is awake, alert, and happy we go with that! And the results are typically phenomenal!

These all neutral shots are some of my favorite setups! It focuses solely on the baby which is always my true mission!

Sometimes I ask you to sniff your baby. You'll thank me for it later!

I say it ALL.THE.TIME. but I'm going to say it again: Watching these babies grow in front of my camera is so amazingly bittersweet. I met this sweet family well before she was born when I did her momma's maternity portraits. Now look at her!! Eight Months Old! Total insanity!

Are you serious with this?! This is her excited face!!!

She really just wanted to eat the mulch.

Oh, my momma heart aches when I see this!

Another MHP Preemie turned ONE over the summer! This sweet girl wanted absolutely nothing to do with me this time, but we still got some adorable shots! I love seeing all of this growth. These teeny tiny babes are amazing!

Two Year Old Getting To Know His New Sister - Louisville Newborn Photography - Louisville KY

This momma called me several weeks before she was due with their second baby. They were living up north and about to make a huge move to this area right before her due date! Changing anything when you're about to deliver a baby is tough, but GOODNESS!

They got moved safely just in time for this sweet girl to make her appearance!

When you're two, you need a little encouragement to touch your sister!

It is just as important to me that your toddler is comfortable as it is that your newborn is comfortable. If your toddler or older kiddo is nervous about holding or touching the new baby, that's totally normal! They have lots happening in their little worlds. Let's be easy on them and make sure they're happy too!!

The eye contact with this little one was AMAZING.
